About The Plough Inn Tavern in Brisbane
The Plough Inn was built in 1885 and has traded as a pub since this time. One of the oldest buildings that remains in Brisbane The Plough Inn proudly displays many of its original features. The original stair case is still used in the hotel along with the ornate ceilings and front facade the pub maintains much of its original character and charm. Today The Plough Inn is a Brisbane icon, located in one of Brisbanes tourist precincts, South Bank the pub is a destination in its own right. The current owners have capitalised on the pubs yesteryear charm and added a modern twist.
The newly built deck and beer garden provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy what an Aussie pub is all about. With unspoilt views of the city and the South Bank pools the deck could quite possibly claim the best views in Brisbane. The Beer garden with live entertainment offers guests an opportunity to soak in the Brisbane sun all year round. The original structure has been architecturally designed inside to offer guests a sports bar, ideal to watch all your sporting favourites on the several LCD screens.
The lounge providing guests a quieter option to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and dinner. Upstairs the Heritage room includes a serviced bar and the front verandah once again offering guests to capitalise on the best views in Brisbane. With all this to offer and more, Why go anywhere else!
